Call for Participants:Design Thinking Workshop presented by Stanford University d.shool lecturers

WASEDA-EDGE Global Talent Development Program welcomes d.school lecturers
from Stanford University to hold a 2 day idea creating workshop, utilizing design thinking* methodology.

d.school* aims to create an educational experience that helps people unlock their creative possibilities and adapt to the world. It is renowned as a global base for the transmission of design thinking that influences innovation not only in Silicon Valley but in the world.

It is an invaluable opportunity to learn from the headquarter of design thinking, while being in Waseda.

◆In the workshop, participants will learn mainly the basics of design thinking practically.
No previous knowledge on design thinking is required to attend.
◆All lectures are held in English (English proficiency standard: over TOEIC 750 score)
◆This is a participatory workshop** where participants work 
on projects in preassigned groups.
◆Only participants who can attend the entire program are eligible to apply.

*Junior and senior undergraduate students with strong desire may also apply.
*Faculty (young researchers), among others, are subject to negotiation

■Lecturers
Scott Witthoft
Professional space and product designer; former Fellow and current lecturer at the Stanford University d.school.
Scott is author of the book &ldquo ;Make 
Space,&rdquo ; a tool for designing collaborative spaces. He has a professional background in structural engineering.

David Janka
Design consultant and creative strategist; former Fellow and current lecturer at the Stanford University d.school. David has a medical degree from Stanford and works to integrate design thinking principles into medical education, healthcare delivery, and medical device design.
