Application requirements（Kyushu University）for ‘Multi-Cultural  Venture Life Challenge 2019’ in Fukuoka, Japan

This Internship program as project  based learning conducts with teams drawn from multinational, multicultural and diverse specialty university students. A practical opportunity in the program solving associated with the entrepreneurial processes of startup corporations.  Let’s experience a company including startup at this opportunity!

1. Duration :  August 18th (Sun) – August 30th (Fri), 2019
　All participants Program
    ・ August 18th (Sun) 15:00, Kick off seminar / Ice break, for all participants
    ・ August 30th (Fri) 9:30 ~ 12:00,  Final presentation by each team, and review
  Team program
    ･ August 19th(Mon) ～August 30th(Fri) Morning :  Field work at each companies / institutions
    *the weekend of August 24th (Sat) and 25th (Sun), is free time

2. Venue:

3. Recruit-able Universities:  IDEA consortium universities of EDGE-NEXT
　Japanese　Universities : Kyushu University, Ritsumeikan University, Nara Advanced Institute of Science and Technology(NAIST),Oosaka Prefecture University(OPU), Hiroshima University,    Ritsumaikan Asia-Pacific University (APU)
  Overseas Universities :  Aalto University ‘Finland), Chalmers University of Technology (CUT: Sweden), Gothenburg University (Sweden), Chulalongkorn University (Thailand), Royal University of Phnom Penh (Cambodia)

4. Capacity for recruitment : 　
Maximum 10 students from Kyushu University  (Maximum 35 students in totaly)

5. Program outline :　
 ・This a typical Project-Based Learning (PBL) Program.
・The student need to join a team keeping diversity, for example, forming by different nationality, different university and different major.
・Each students team visits the startups or institution which have kept Venture spirits and entrepreneurial mind set, An important issue related to the management for the organizations was showed to each teams. The team need to prepare the solution for the problem for about 10 days. On the final day, the team must do presentation to the entrepreneurs and/or managers of the organizations.

  If the number of applicants exceeds the maximum number, it may be selected by interview etc. In that case, the QREC will consider the following points: the suitability of candidate’s skill with the desired company, Course status of QREC subjects, Balance of team diversity.

8．Team formation:
・In principle, the teams was forming with keeping diversity, by nationalities, belonging universities and majors. Depending on the number of participants, one team consists of four to five students.
・Participants can request own participating organization. However, we prioritize keeping diversity rather than participants’ request for team formation

9. Language:  Basically, English
(For the participants, of international students and from overseas cooperation universities)

10．Accommodation： QREC’ll prepare accommodation in camp style.

11．Necessary expenses　：
Meals, participation fee of J￥8,000 (including banquet fee)
※ Please ask the person in charge at each university for the necessary expenses.

12. Required Documents: Participants must submit the following documents through each university
① Basic information: Name, affiliation, major, contact (TEL), e-mail, desired company / organization, Whether or not to get the credits of “QREC internship” self-portrait photo
② Self-introduction: self-introduction, retained skills / feats, motivation for participation, future career prospects etc.

13.  Acquisition of the Credits:
By this program, the students, who need to be selected, can get the credits of “QREC Internship”.

① Course registration: To register for “QREC internship” from the QREC web page.
② Procedure: According to the syllabus, it is necessary to prepare predetermined documents.
③ Grade evaluation: According to the syllabus, evaluate the results based on the submission of prescribed reports etc.
