【2023】SDGs Entrepreneurship (KIKAN Education Subjects for Students in the Second Year and Above)


Let’s learn about social business as advocated by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Professor Yunus and
think about what we can do to achieve the SDGs!


Yunus and Shiiki Social Business Research Center will assist the class


The purpose of this program is to teach knowledge and applied skills to look at the SDGs and other issues and find solutions.
Students will learn about the SDGs at Kyushu University and in local training programs, acquire expertise in finding solutions to
social issues, and build a sustainable social business model. The theme of the course will be problem solving in emerging countries,
while utilizing the concept of design thinking,
The goal is to create a new product or service by using design thinking and incorporating field visits and research.


In this process,
・The importance and potential of entrepreneurship in various fields
・Grameen’s philosophy and approach to global social issues
・Social Issues in Emerging Countries
・On Design Methods in New Value Creation
The students will deepen their understanding of such issues as the following, and present a problem-solving model plan based on
the UNUS Social Business concept as a result of the class!

*After 14:00, we will visit local Grameen Group companies and others.

*This lecture includes overseas training (Bangladesh), and you can choose whether to attend the overseas training in Bangladesh or remotely at the Kyushu University campus (Center Building No. 6, 2nd floor, BasE).
