{"id":11924,"date":"2016-09-14T17:50:46","date_gmt":"2016-09-14T08:50:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/qrec.kyushu-u.ac.jp\/?p=11924"},"modified":"2016-09-14T17:50:46","modified_gmt":"2016-09-14T08:50:46","slug":"20160914_1e","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/qrec.kyushu-u.ac.jp\/en\/news\/20160914_1e\/","title":{"rendered":"Kyushu University student team won Silver Medal Prize in TECO Green Tech 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: large; color: #ff0000;\">Congratulations\uff01<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000; font-size: large;\"><strong>Kyushu University student team won Silver Medal Prize in TECO Green Tech 2016<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Wind Turbine Innovation Project (WTIP), a student team composed of Kyushu University undergraduates participated and won Silver Medal Prize in TECO Green Tech 2016, an international environment-friendly and sustainability-targeted technology competition, held in Taipei, Taiwan, in Aug. 23, 2016.\u00a0WTIP\u00a0is an official student club of Kyushu University that has been working to develop original wind\u00a0electricity-generating turbine and related mechanics technologies.<\/p>\n<p>The team received support grant from Robert T. Huang Entrepreneurship Center (QREC) of Kyushu University and participated in TECO Green Tech 2016, along with 20 other teams from a total of seven countries.\u00a0WTIP members\u00a0presented their newly developed differential mechanics, which demonstrate 60% improvement of power generation efficiency.201<\/p>\n<p>WTIP\u00a0won Silver Medal Prize, the second-place award, of the international division of the competition, which is the best award won by Japanese teams (University of Tokyo won Bronze Medel, or the third-place award, and Waseda University also won an award).
