2018 Second semester Intensive Course QREC Lecture<\/span>
\nGlobal Seminar in English<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

QREC hold “Global Seminar in English” in second semester intensive course. We will invite Dr. Yamakawa from Babson College.<\/p>\n

Dr. Yamakawa teaches in the areas\/intersections of Entrepreneurship, Strategy, and International Business. He is heavily engaged in teaching entrepreneurship in Japan. He has taught entrepreneurs, corporate executives, educators, and students at various institutions in Japan (e.g., government programs, universities).<\/p>\n

The main objective of this 3-day program is to introduce students to the world of entrepreneurship, and explore series of questions in the world of entrepreneurship.
\n\u00a0 What is entrepreneurship?
\n\u00a0 Who is an entrepreneur?
\n\u00a0 Are you?
\n\u00a0 How do you generate ideas?
\n\u00a0 How do you evaluate an opportunity?
\n\u00a0 What does it take to become a successful entrepreneur?
\n\u00a0 What if you fail?<\/p>\n

The experience will give you exposure to how Babson\u2019s entrepreneurial education addresses the questions above. We examine these inquiries through a combination of theory and practice.<\/p>\n

Dr. Yasuhiro Yamakawa\u00a0<\/strong>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Yamakawa is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at Babson College. He comes from a multi-cultural background having lived in eight countries around
\nthe world. He received his Bachelor of Laws from Keio University, M.B.A. in Strategic Management from the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management, and Ph.D. in International Management Studies at the University of Texas at Dallas.<\/p>\n

Dr. Yamakawa has more than a decade of professional experience in Japan\u2019s utility and telecommunication industries where he led numerous entrepreneurial start-ups and corporate ventures. Currently, he serves on multiple director\/advisory boards in four countries.<\/p>\n
