About BasE

Current students at Kyushu University involved in projects such as I.C. or C&C (see below for details) may use BasE (Room 204) on the 2nd floor of Center Building 6 on the Ito Campus (click here for a map).

Prospective users should review BasE’s rules of use.

While this facility is normally restricted to certain users, it is open to the general public during our open house events.

A flexible space ideal for brainstorming and collaborative work
A focused workstation equipped with a curved monitor and a height-adjustable desk
Private rooms available by reservation, suitable for sessions involving conversation
A communication board for students to share their activities and thoughts

Equipment

The following equipment is available

  • TV Monitor
  • 2 wireless microphones
  • 10 meeting tables
  • Whiteboard
  • Kitchen Space

etc.,

  • There is no permanent projector. Portable projectors are available.
  • PC can be connected directly to TV monitor (with HDMI cable)

On-campus wireless LAN “kitenet” available

  • If you wish to use a wired LAN, please apply in advance.

Capacity of about 50 people.

Usage rules

Available to

  1. QREC Faculty and Staff
  2. Students, student groups, and registered stakeholders selected for student projects (I.C., C&C, J.O., J.O.G., QSHOP, Uncarry Committee, Tech Bootcamp, Kyusoukai)
  3. Student groups certified as QREC Premium Members, student groups certified as QREC Projects
  4. Students and student groups approved by the QREC Director and QREC faculty members (prior notification and approval are required)

If you do not fall under categories ②, ③, or ④ but wish to use the facility, please download the file below, fill it out, and submit it.

  • Please note that it will take about one month to obtain approval at the meeting after the hearing with QREC faculty based on the application documents.

Flow of Use

If you are using BasE for the first time, please be sure to read the “BasE Rules of Use” below and follow steps (1) through (3).

(1) Submit required documents

Please fill out the form below and submit.

(2) Receive an email invitation to use the service.

We will grant electronic lock authorization to your student ID card. (It takes one to two days to set up.)
We will send you an email with instructions on how to complete the setup and use the system.

Start of use

Available 24 hours a day after setup is complete.
