Enrollment in Courses Offered by QREC

Courses offered by QREC are offered as “Comprehensive Courses,” “Senior Core Courses,” “Graduate School Core Courses (Development Courses),” “Courses Offered by the Department of Industrial Management, Graduate School of Economics (hereinafter referred to as “QBS Courses”),” and “Courses Approved (Recommended) by Other Faculties/Graduate Schools.

  • Whether or not a course can be counted as a requirement for graduation or completion varies from department to department and graduate school to graduate school.

QREC courses are designed to improve educational effectiveness through mutual enlightenment among a wide variety of students by allowing both undergraduate and graduate students (including working students) to take courses across departments and majors. For this reason, some QREC courses are assigned to more than one subject type, such as “Comprehensive Courses” and “Graduate School Core Education Courses (Development Courses).

If you take “General Courses” or “Advanced Courses” as an undergraduate student, and after entering graduate school, you take the same courses as “Graduate School Core Courses (Development Courses)” or “Courses offered by QBS,” you can earn credits at both the undergraduate and graduate schools (however, credit accreditation is subject to the regulations of each undergraduate and graduate school), (However, the credit accreditation is subject to the regulations of each faculty and graduate school.)

  • Note, however, that it only counts as one course for the QREC “Certificate of Completion” requirement.
