Summary

~Social Fiction to Social Reality

The purpose of this program is to teach knowledge and applied skills to look at the SDGs and other issues and find solutions. Students will learn about the SDGs at Kyushu University and in on-site training, acquire expertise in finding solutions to social issues, and assemble a sustainable social business model. The goal of the program is to create new products and services by applying design thinking and incorporating field visits and research to solve problems in emerging economies.

In this process,

  • The possibility and importance of demonstrating entrepreneurship in various fields
  • Grameen’s philosophy and approach to social issues around the world
  • Emerging Social Issues
  • On Design Methods in New Value Creation

The students will deepen their understanding of the concept of UNUS Social Business, etc., and present a problem-solving model plan based on the concept of UNUS Social Business as a result of the class.

Eligibility for Application

  • This is a senior year course, so the target grade is sophomore or above in the undergraduate school.
  • English proficiency is preferred.

  • There will be group activities between each schedule.
  • This lecture includes an overseas training course (Bangladesh), and you can choose whether to attend the overseas training course on site or remotely at the Kyushu University campus ( BasE, 2nd floor, Building 6, Ito Campus Center ).

About Application

  • The number of students in this course is 25.
    If there are more students who wish to register for the course, students will be selected based on their grades, language ability, and motivation for taking the course.
  • At a later date, students will formally apply for course registration at the respective academic affairs office.
    It takes time for the information to be reflected in the student portal system.
    Please note that you will not be able to check the information on the Student Portal System immediately after registration.
  • If you wish to cancel a course, please make sure to submit the cancellation form within the specified period.
    Cancellations will not be accepted after this period. The cancellation period will be sent to applicants by e-mail at a later date.
