I acquired two mid size Japanese IT companies in the last 18 months. At time of the acquisitions, both companies were in deep trouble.Both companies were turned into profit very quickly after a lot of changes I made.

It is commonly known that Japanese companies change very slowly.

Through my management experiences, I came to learn that it is not somuch Japanese companies cannot make the changes fast, it is either the leaders of the companies do not know when and what changes to make orthey are just too risk averse to do so. To be more accurately stated, if the leaders know what they are doing and willing to take the risk, their organizations will respond and execute very fast.

As an entrepreneur, we always need to stay “Alert”, and “Analyze” the opportunities and then “Act”. After all, it is the action that produces the result.

I can say this, if it were not those who at Kyushu University, who bravely took actions, QREC would never be born.
