About Research Projects
The Robert T. Huang Entrepreneurship Center of Kyushu University (QREC), with a donation from Mr. Shuhei Morofuji, has launched a seven-year research project on the connection between entrepreneurial intention and action as a basis for entrepreneurship education, and its relevance to education itself, including teaching methods and classroom management. The project is a seven-year research project.
In parallel with the launch of the project, we are planning to publish a research journal on entrepreneurship education and hold a symposium every year in the future.
This project focuses on investigating the impact of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intentions and behaviors, with a particular emphasis on effective teaching methods and feedback to improve entrepreneurship education programs.
The project will include the following studies
Main Research
(1) Research on entrepreneurial intention
Focus Areas
Students’ entrepreneurial intentions, metacognition
It focuses on understanding how entrepreneurship education affects the development of students’ entrepreneurial intentions and metacognition-metacognition (thinking about one’s own thinking). It also aims to explore the relationship between education and students’ entrepreneurial mindset.
Subresearch
(2) Research on the process
Focus Areas
Learning process, observational studies
It aims to explore the underlying reasons for the changes that result from entrepreneurship education interventions.
It aims to identify the mechanisms and processes through which entrepreneurship education influences students’ attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors.
(iii) Research on behavior
Focus Areas
Follow-up on alumni activities
The focus is on investigating whether entrepreneurship education has an effect on behavior beyond the student years.
By following up on the activities of graduates, we aim to assess their long-term impact on entrepreneurship-based behaviors and identify the types of programs that have the greatest impact.
4) Research on teams
Focus Areas
Team Behavior
The focus is on investigating team behavior in the new business creation process, not individual behavior.
The goal of this study is to understand how teams work together, make decisions, and overcome the challenges associated with starting a new venture.
