The opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship and put it into practice by participating in QREC subjects and projects will surely enable everyone to ”see the scenery we have seen up until now” from a different perspective. .
This is because QREC’s teachers, instructors, supportive staff, and students all come from a variety of backgrounds, and we are able to interact with people who have different perspectives from our own, regardless of faculty, graduate school, nationality, gender, age, etc. Because QREC provides an environment that allows us to transcend and learn from each other. Learning about entrepreneurship is by no means a necessary skill for only those who want to or are interested in starting a business. I feel that these skills are necessary for students who will continue to work with society both now and in the future.
I was also fortunate to have the opportunity to be selected as one of the first Kyusoukai students. Kyusoukai is a place where you can grow as a person and as an entrepreneur. Through my mentoring with Kyusoukai members and my involvement with selected Kyusoukai students, I not only had the opportunity to think about how we can move forward together with society through business from a long-term perspective, but also I learned that it is possible to continue to grow even further.
By participating in QREC subjects, projects, and events, I not only learn a lot from the people involved, but also meet important people who inspire me and help me improve.
Students, please take part in QREC subjects and projects and learn a lot about entrepreneurship!

I found the QREC lectures more exciting than other classes. It was fun to collaborate with various people in group work, and it was also gratifying to receive proper feedback on our presentations. It was also inspiring to hear people who are running successful businesses talking about what they dreamed about, what they were wondering about, and what decisions they made. Of course, it was not only fun, but I also think it was meaningful for me because I was able to take on new challenges and gain basic knowledge for my work.
If you’re like me, when you pick up a QREC pamphlet, you probably look at it thinking how amazing and cool it is, and QREC never betrays that sense of elation. Please find lots of interesting lectures.

When we think of starting a business, we often think of facing challenges and obstacles. Many students, including myself, initially thought, ”There’s no need for me to take such a class since I’m not thinking about starting a business at the moment.” However, my strong curiosity led me to luckily connect with the field of entrepreneurship. A class called ”Introduction to Entrepreneurship” that I took in my first year was my first introduction to the unknown field of entrepreneurship. There, I found myself fascinated by the vast amount of knowledge behind entrepreneurship. There are so many unknown areas waiting for us. For example, there are many areas such as strategic marketing, business judgment, risk management, etc. I also believe that the vast amount of knowledge behind starting a business can be applied not only to companies, but also to individuals to some extent. For example, SWOT analysis, which is often used to formulate a group’s growth strategy and analyze competitors, can also be applied to individuals to gain a deeper understanding of themselves. I believe that the knowledge and ideas I have accumulated regarding entrepreneurship during my university days will definitely point me towards a long path of self-improvement. Finally, I would like to thank all the teachers at QREC for providing such wonderful and valuable lectures and programs.

Entrepreneurship is also necessary for engineers.
The reason I took the QREC course was when I came across an article in which the president of Toyota said, ”The engineering department cannot communicate.” When he asked the reason for creating dull-colored cars, the reason was that the engineers could only talk about statistical results and could not explain the strategic background. I realized that I couldn’t become an engineer who can communicate with management unless I had the perspective of an entrée.
The lectures are practical and allow you to gain experience in understanding ⇒ ideation ⇒ presentation ⇒ execution. Because you can experience the entire process of creating an idea and realizing it, the hurdles to taking on new challenges will be lowered and you will be able to actively take on new challenges. The Global Seminar allows you to view failure in a positive light, and the Technology Marketing Game allows you to grasp the overall picture of management as if you were competing for stock prices.
With the challenge that I gained at QREC, I took on challenges such as C&C, NASA design competition, Fukuoka Smart City Award, and Advanced Information Engineer Examination in addition to my research. It was an important experience with both failures and successes. Also, during my job search, I was able to receive unofficial offers from companies such as Mitsubishi Research Institute, Sony Corporation, and Accenture. We will create a society that reduces human misfortune through policies that combine technology and management perspectives.
QREC lectures are an extremely valuable opportunity to gain a manager’s perspective, lower the hurdles to taking on challenges, and enable you to take on a variety of challenges. Please actively participate in QREC’s lectures and acquire the power to achieve your life’s goals!

It all started when I happened to learn about a lecture on “Entrepreneurship Career Design” when I was in my first year. At first, I took it out of curiosity, but I found it interesting that the class format was different from a typical lecture format, and included a workshop-like format, and the student committee invited lecturers to design the classes. There were so many things that drew me in. The Japanese translation of the word “entrepreneurship” is “entrepreneurial spirit,” and QREC’s courses are recommended not only for those who aim to start a business, but also for those who do not want to start a business. There are many subjects available. I believe that the way of thinking required when starting a business is something that you will need no matter what career you pursue, so if you are even slightly interested, please register for the course! By the way, my recommended subject is Entrepreneurship Career Design, which I became a student committee member for in 2023!

Being from the countryside, I have not had much experience learning about AI, so I am glad that I could learn about AI and the industries that are relevant to today’s society in this class. What I was most interested in in this class was entrepreneurship. In the countryside, there is still a strong conservative mindset and a tendency for people to believe that “the stakes are high. However, I thought it was very good that the lecturers in this class had a positive view of the challenge of starting a new business. I am very glad that I was able to attend this class because I think this is a way of thinking that I would never have been exposed to if I had not come to Kyushu University. I was also surprised that many of the lecturers were actively involved in club activities, job hunting, programming, and other activities from their student days. I am glad that I was able to receive such stimulation because I had been a bit lazy and relaxed since I had successfully entered university.

I took the class because I was looking for practical learning. Many school classes were theoretical and I had no opportunity to apply them in my daily life after the class, thus my interest waned. through QREC’s classes, I developed a trial-and-error attitude. After recognizing the current level of myself and my team and setting a direction, I was able to learn the process of repeatedly making improvements through the feedback I received as we set specific goals and proceeded, which became a useful attitude even after the class ended, not just in work, but in life as well. Of course, in terms of skills, I learned accounting knowledge from the “QSHOP,” design thinking to create products from the user’s perspective from the “Lean Startup Exercise,” and implementation skills to make ideas tangible from the “Acceleration Program. I highly recommend QREC’s classes and programs to anyone who wants to step out of the existing framework and create new value at university!

At the end of my junior year, a friend suddenly said to me, “I want to start a business,” which led me to participate in the Challenge & Creation (C&C) and Acceleration Program. I had never been involved in QREC in my life as a student before, but I remember that I was excited to participate in the program because I had just finished job hunting and had only a few credits left, so I thought, “I’m not busy, so I’ll do it.
In the Acceleration Program, I learned about the practical aspects of thinking, such as how to identify problems and develop solutions, and the techniques of making pitches. I feel that I was able to experience many things that I would not have been able to experience in my normal student life.
These experiences were similar to the skills that are required when one enters the workforce, which was a bit of a surprise to me, as I had thought that QREC was an organization for people who start their own businesses.
Although it will be tougher for me to participate in QREC activities because I will be working, I am truly grateful to the faculty and mentors who supported me through QREC activities and to my friends and team members who brought me along halfway through the program.

Entrepreneurship does not equal entrepreneurship.”
This was the first thing that was communicated to me in the QREC lectures and the biggest thing I learned in the lectures.
I believe that entrepreneurship is about taking ownership of your life. I think that the QREC lectures are always structured around that entrepreneurship. Therefore, every time I attend a lecture, I am confronted with myself.
Among the many lectures, I especially recommend the “Introduction to Entrepreneurship” course. This lecture provides an opportunity to objectively analyze how one’s inner self has been formed and to think about various things from different perspectives. I am convinced that the ideas learned or acquired in these lectures will be useful for a long time to come.
QREC offers not only lectures, but also a system that financially and cooperatively supports students’ challenges and aspirations. Thanks to this opportunity, I have been able to pursue my own interests.
I hope you will take full advantage of QREC and learn a lot from it!

As the spring semester ended and the summer semester began, I had some free time after quarter courses ended and I searched for courses that piqued my interest and found some interesting intensive courses. Since the registration period had already ended by this time, I needed to find an intensive course if I wanted to earn credits. I learned that it is important to anticipate the thinking of other companies and how to read in detail the various numbers in various market research reports in cooperation with team members in order to better match the company’s products to customer demand. I felt like I was getting a glimpse of the corporate efforts of companies around the world at twice the speed. Technology Marketing Game are recommended subjects, but so is Entrepreneurship Career Design. Each lecture in the Entrepreneurship Career Design course is taught by invited lecturers from different fields, and the students are encouraged to look at society and their own future from different perspectives. We highly recommend that undergraduate students who have free time to attend this lecture should do so.
